Project Manager - Construction and Retail

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Project Manager to join a leading consultancy specialising in construction industry sectors, particularly in Retail.

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a graduate to join our team to be trained in all areas of the business.
  • The role of Assistant Project Manager involves overseeing all aspects of development, from inception to delivery, of various Construction / Retail related projects across the United Kingdom.
  • Particular focus will be on our ANPR survey programme, which includes site visits for ANPR camera installation, identifying power sources, mapping cable routes, and determining optimum camera locations.
  • The PM role requires managing every aspect of the project from start to finish, including planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, while adhering to pre-determined goals and objectives with the client's requirements in mind.
  • Effective communication across all management levels is essential to develop and establish a project brief that clearly defines all objectives.
  • The role also involves setting measurable objectives and timelines for all project elements and managing other consultant disciplines and contractors to ensure delivery meets cost, time, and quality standards.
  • Maintaining records and work folders to ensure all work is checked and appropriately approved for distribution is expected.
  • The job requires managing retail construction / redevelopment projects in a live environment.
  • Management of design teams, cost management consultants, and contractors is involved to ensure timely completion within company budget and client timelines.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • Full driving license and own car with the ability to travel within the UK.
  • CSCS card - Black/gold/white (or possess the qualifications to achieve).
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated.
