Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our Core Team at Oaklands Centre in Selly Oak. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality mental health services to adults aged 18-25, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
The postholder will have expertise in psychiatric assessment, risk management, and medical treatment formulation, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. A strong understanding of mental health policy and evidence-based practice is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development
- Supervise junior doctors and multidisciplinary team members
Person Specification:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced mental health specialist who can demonstrate a strong track record of providing high-quality care to adults with complex mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry, GMC full registration, and Section 12(2) approval.
