Senior Construction Manager - Temporary Works

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our construction consultancy, you will be responsible for managing temporary works on a major infrastructure upgrade project.

About the Role:

  • Establish and maintain the project temporary works register.
  • Ensure that all relevant procedures, inspections, and checks are carried out.
  • Review temporary works proposals from the design teams and trade contractors.
  • Ensure that loadings from temporary works are accepted by the permanent works designers.
  • Ensure that temporary works permits are approved and communicated.
  • Ensure that detailed trade contractor procedures for the control of temporary works are produced and implemented.
  • Review the proposed appointment of the trade contractors TWCs.

Requirements:

  1. A degree qualification in engineering or project management and a member of a relevant institute.
  2. Construction delivery experience, ideally in nuclear/defence projects.
  3. Site H&S management experience.
  4. PM plus: project or site manager with strong experience in temp works.

What We Offer:

  • 27 days + bank holidays, generous pension, private health cover and more.
  • £70,000 - £75,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Car allowance: £7200
