Layers Bakery is an independently owned café with an on-site bakery where all baked goods production happens. Our passion lies in supplying guests and businesses who value quality and craftsmanship in pastry and bread.

Located in the heart of Leamouth, London, we offer a brand-new residential area with a strong community vibe. Our bakery is the newest hotspot in town, serving freshly baked sourdough goods, specialty coffee, grab-and-go viennoiserie, and seasonal brunch menus.

We deliver our baked goods throughout London to other cafes and restaurants, providing wholesale services to support local businesses.

Your Role

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Barista and be dedicated to delivering outstanding service. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing specialty coffees and beverages for dine-in and takeaway customers
  • Providing excellent customer service by taking orders and offering recommendations
  • Operating coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization standards for front-of-house areas
  • Attending staff meetings and training sessions

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Is friendly and professional
  • Understands the difference between customer service and hospitality
  • Can build rapport with our amazing customers
  • Can work under pressure and thrive alone or as part of a team
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Situational awareness within the cafe
  • Knowledge of sourdough, bread, and viennoiserie is a plus
  • Strong time management skills
