The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to explore theoretical quantum physics broadly defined with an emphasis on topological phases of matter. The role will involve working closely with Prof Robert-Jan Slager and the research group to investigate the role of the quantum geometric tensor in optical transitions and Euler topologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong proven track record in topological phases of matter and/or quantum physics, as underpinned by journal publications.

Requirements
  • A PhD (or equivalent) in theoretical physics with a strong background in topological phases of matter and/or quantum physics.
  • Experience in the theoretical research of topological phases, quantum geometric structures, and magnetic systems.
