We are partnering with a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Children's SEND Driver on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. To apply, please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £14 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

To drive departmental vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring the well-being of all passengers and other road users.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a part-time basis on split shifts during peak periods, under the general direction and supervision of transport and other authorized officers.
  • Drive vehicles attached to the department, carrying out duties in an efficient, economical, and orderly manner, including the safe transportation of fellow employees and authorized personnel.
  • Assist service users from their home to the vehicle, securing them safely during the journey and assisting them from the vehicle at their destination, ensuring their safe return home.
  • Implement and adhere to Risk Assessment control measures identified on the route runsheets.
  • Be sympathetic and courteous to service users, treating their relatives with similar respect.

Requirements:

  • Full driving license
  • Literacy skills

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS, and we will support you through your application.
