Clevedon, North Somerset, United Kingdom Teaching Personnel Full time

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient teaching professional to join our team at an educational provision in Clevedon. Our school creates a safe, trusting environment for 12 girls who have experienced significant trauma.

As a member of our staff, you will work with students who have ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and are capable of a range of GCSEs. Lessons are structured around the AQA portfolio model, with each staff member closely supporting 1-2 students.

About Us

Our unique school is based in a quiet cul-de-sac, creating a cozy, homelike atmosphere. With a focus on personal growth as much as academic progress, learning often takes place beyond the classroom—in nearby coffee shops or on local beaches—allowing for a nurturing and flexible approach.

Position Details
  • We offer £105+ per day, paid weekly.
  • This role is term time only.
  • Daily Structure: No lunch or playground duties, and no marking required.
  • Start Date: Immediate.

Our students follow an individualized Education and Care Plan (ECHP) that aligns with their academic and personal needs. We avoid punitive or behaviourist strategies, focusing instead on holistic, restorative practices that promote connection and support. Students feel encouraged and empowered as they develop confidence and resilience.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • You must be able to drive, as the school is in the BS21 area.
  • We require experience managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours with a calm, effective approach.
  • A positive and engaging presence is essential for creating an inviting, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Prior experience working with young people who have displayed challenging behaviour is beneficial.
