Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the nuclear industry. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical handling systems and equipment for various clients.

Your primary focus will be on solving complex mechanical handling conundrums across a range of energy-related projects. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to capture requirements, set up projects, and deliver right-first-time solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and substantiating mechanical handling or robotic handling systems and equipment.
  2. Writing accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports & specifications.
  3. Engaging with existing and prospective clients, working at their sites, and understanding their issues, goals, and processes.
  4. Working in regulated engineering environments and following appropriate Quality Assurance processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant qualification.
  2. Experience in designing and implementing mechanical handling systems and equipment.
  3. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  4. A commercial awareness and ability to work in a team environment.
