Job Title: Countryside Accessibility Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Communications and Engagement Manager to join our team as Maternity Cover for the Putting Downs Routes Project. This exciting opportunity will see you champion equity, diversity & inclusion in the countryside.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, marketing and community engagement skills, with a clear passion for making the countryside more accessible. Ideally, you will have worked in the outdoors, countryside or heritage sectors, successfully engaging with partners and communities.
You will be responsible for attending and organizing regular events throughout the North Downs Way National Trail in Kent and Surrey. You must demonstrate your ability to attend events and visit communities within this geography.

Key Responsibilities- Attend and organize regular events throughout the North Downs Way National Trail
- Develop new audiences and deliver enhancements on and around the trail
- Support the recruitment and training of North Downs Way Ambassadors
This is a full-time role, but we also welcome applications for part-time elements of the role. The salary for this position is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
We aim to interview week commencing 27th January 2025 and anticipate a start date of late February/early March. Please note that the closing date may be brought forward if several suitably qualified candidates apply.
