Job Overview

The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support inpatient and outpatient cranial and spinal services at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
  • Contribute to the established MDT services provided as part of quality clinical indicators
  • Participate in a 1:12 work schedule rota, including allocation of theatres, clinics, MDT attendance, and ward clinical duties
  • Develop and implement coherent ideas for service development and delivery
  • Supervise junior medical staff and commit to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs, and medical students
Requirements
  • Part 1 or complete postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in postgraduate training
  • Ability to offer sound clinical opinion on a range of acute medical conditions
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Excellent manner with patients, being sensitive to their needs and fears
