Job Title: Stonemason

We are seeking an experienced Stonemason to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment. As a Stonemason, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, collaborating with operatives, and shaping or cutting stones according to structural plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting blueprints and structural plans to determine the materials and equipment needed for the project
  • Cutting and shaping stones to desired dimensions
  • Laying stones according to construction plans or project specifications
  • Fixing, repairing, and pointing natural stone
  • Smoothing and polishing stones and concrete
  • Replacing defective or missing stones on walls and structures
Requirements:
  • NVQ or equivalent in stone masonry
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in stone masonry
  • Previous experience reading and interpreting structural blueprints
  • Strong understanding of lime mortar and its properties
  • Ability to work outdoors and in noisy areas for extended periods of time
  • Excellent customer focus, strong attention to detail
