Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, primarily consisting of owner-managed businesses.
  • Oversee the year-end accounts prepared by junior staff members.
  • Prepare intricate year-end accounts.
  • Lead audits from initial planning through to completion, coordinating with both the team and clients as necessary.
  • Provide accounting and taxation guidance to clients as required.
  • Conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
  • Assist in the supervision of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
  • Mentor colleagues by reviewing their work and promoting timely and high-quality service delivery.
  • Enhance the team's skill set through development plans, training, and support.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by maintaining existing client relationships and fostering connections with potential clients.
Candidate Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a practice environment.
  • Experience in year-end accounts preparation within a chartered accountancy firm.
  • Prior auditing experience, ideally with a focus on leading audits in a chartered accountancy setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
