Job Overview:

We are recruiting for an Aviation Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Havant. The successful candidate will work on assembling, testing, and inspecting complex aerospace components.

About the Role:

You will be a key member of our MRO team, working closely with the Production Team Leader/Area Manager to ensure all activities are performed correctly and properly documented.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, test, and inspect hydraulic LRU's (Line Replacement Units)
  • Report to the Production Team Leader/Area Manager in MRO
  • Use hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and specialized test equipment
  • Perform visual inspection and handle defective items according to established procedures
  • Interpret and use drawings proficiently
  • Prepare materials, including lapping of surfaces with proper tooling techniques and compounds
  • Perform cross-training when required
  • Proactively identify and assist in process improvements
  • Follow procedures and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 2 years' experience in detail manufacturing, with a strong engineering background and experience using various hand and power tools and inspection equipment.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent contract role working a standard 37 hour week, with overtime paid at x1.5.

Salary: Up to £15.40 per hour
