Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our team at Derbyshire County Council. As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, promoting their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students in Key Stage 1, ensuring they meet their full potential.
  • Assess student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop targeted interventions to support their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, promoting their emotional and social well-being.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum materials, ensuring they are aligned with national standards and meet the needs of our students.
  • Participate in staff meetings, contributing to discussions on teaching and learning, and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience of teaching in a Primary School setting, with a focus on Key Stage 1.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the school.
