About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Chief Obesity Therapeutics Strategist. This key role will drive the development and execution of global medical strategies to increase Amgen's value proposition in alignment with product strategies across relevant geographies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the global medical affairs strategy for Obesity and related conditions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
  • Serve as the Medical Affairs Representative on various global strategic teams, fostering collaboration and driving results-oriented decision-making.
  • Shape the global strategic direction for engagement with top global thought leaders, leveraging expertise to inform business growth and expansion.
  • Drive engagement excellence with relevant Professional Societies across the globe, focusing on regions outside North America to expand Amgen's presence and influence.
  • Support strategic identification of the next generation of obesity leaders, who will champion transformative patient care and educate community-level healthcare professionals.
  • Plan and implement strategic obesity leader engagement at major global congresses, amplifying Amgen's voice and expertise in the field.
  • Jointly oversee relationships and interactions with EU key policy groups, collaborating with internal government affairs and policy colleagues to ensure effective external engagement.
  • Jointly liaise with external stakeholders advising on health technology, value, and access in European and similar reimbursed market archetypes.
  • Partner with cross-functional colleagues, including Commercial, Advocacy, Corporate Affairs, and Development, to execute external engagement plans and drive business growth.
  • Capture clinical/scientific insights across all key markets and translate them into concrete strategies, informing product development and market expansion.
  • Maintain an active role within TA cross-functional meetings to ensure awareness of potential opportunities for external engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and SOPs throughout medical activities.
  • Utilize global infrastructure for tracking, measuring, and evaluating performance, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical affairs, obesity therapeutics, and global strategy development. A strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory environments, and market dynamics is essential for success in this role.

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range between $150,000 and $250,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
