Asset Management Lead

We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Lead to join our team at the Canal & River Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about managing assets and leading teams.

About Us: We are the charity responsible for maintaining and improving 2,000 miles of waterways across England and Wales. Our goal is to make life better by water, and we believe that every role within the Trust plays a crucial part in achieving this vision.

Job Description:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership to the local volunteer lock keeping team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver works safely and to a high standard while maintaining volunteer satisfaction.
  • Maintenance/Repair: Carry out maintenance and repair works to the waterway infrastructure to maximise network availability, provide customer service through safe and timely operation of the Trust's assets, and respond to reactive works to ensure customer safety and network availability.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Skills: You will need proven team leadership experience, valid UK driving licence, and some experience of manual/construction/outdoor work. Countryside practice and vegetation skills may be an advantage.
