Clinical Leadership and Oversight

Focus Counselling Services (Hull) Limited is a leading provider of high-quality therapeutic services and training across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. We are currently undergoing an exciting phase of expansion and are seeking an experienced Senior Counsellor to oversee our team of salaried and associate counsellors.
Key Responsibilities
-------------------
* Provide clinical leadership and oversight to salaried and associate counsellors attached to Focus Counselling, including Counselling for Depression (CfD) Therapists, Interpersonal Therapists, and EMDR Practitioners.
* Ensure the delivery of quality therapeutic interventions in-line with service specifications and contractual requirements.
* Oversee adherence to contractual commitments through team meetings and line management responsibilities, ensuring the service meets key contractual performance indicators.
Clinical Leadership
-----------------
* Contribute to the overall clinical leadership of the service, participating in the Oversight Team and liaising with senior colleagues.
* Collaborate with the Operations Team Leader, Senior Therapists, and administration team to ensure the smooth operational running of the service.
* Facilitate and attend regular team meetings, including Oversight, Senior Therapist, and Governance & Quality meetings as required.
Performance and Quality
---------------------
* Monitor service performance, ensuring interventions are delivered in-line with service specifications and contractual standards.
* Complete regular quality audits of client records, escalating quality issues as required.
* Ensure interventions are delivered in-line with key performance indicators, including recovery rates, patient choice, and patient experience.
Requirements
------------
* Possession of a recognised qualification in a Step 3 counselling modality, preferably CfD, and BACP accreditation or working towards.
* Possession of a recognised qualification in clinical supervision.
* Previous experience of working in a psychological therapies/adult mental health service or similar.
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of a range of therapeutic interventions, including those approved for use in NHS Talking Therapies.
* Previous managerial experience, including the ability to lead and motivate others to achieve goals and deliver the highest quality service.
