This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our highly skilled neurophysiotherapy team at a specialist inpatient rehabilitation service for the South West of England.
We provide specialist rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological needs following acquired or traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with Doctors, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologists, requiring strong teamwork and communication skills.
Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5, 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate personal or professional needs.
Your clinical work will cover:
- Medical and physical management of spasticity including splinting and serial casting
- Complex postural management
- Disorders of consciousness
- Assessment for and provision of orthotics
- Hydrotherapy
- Use of specialist equipment e.g. the Lite-Gait overhead walking harness and treadmill; Quest electric standing frames; standard and motomed exercise bikes and tilt tables
- Management of Behaviours that Challenge
- Tracheostomy management and weaning
- Patient centred goal setting
- Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.
Managerial duties will involve:
- Take a pro-active and supportive role in service development
- Provide supervision and appraisal for team members
- Deliver both local in-service and more formal training
- Be involved in centre wide initiatives
You will receive excellent clinical support and supervision with a commitment to your ongoing training and development.

What you'll have:
- HCPC registration
- Previous neurorehabilitation experience
- Tracheostomy training is essential
- Post graduate training e.g., in Normal Movement, Movement Science, or other neuro specific courses would be an advantage
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
