Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of bread production, ensuring consistently high standards across all our products. This includes managing the production of viennoiserie and cakes, leading the development of new products, and consistently reviewing and delivering improvements in process efficiencies and product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of bread production to ensure consistently high standards across all our products.
- Manage production of the finest quality viennoiserie and cakes produced daily in the bakery.
- Lead in the development of new products that represent the bakery's values while remaining one step ahead of trends.
- Consistently review and deliver improvements in both process efficiencies and product quality in the bakery.
- Create and introduce a lunch offering onto our menu of sandwiches and toasties.
- Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and follow health & safety guidelines with responsibility for the bakery.
- Oversee stock control, scheduling, rotas & ordering.
- Experienced in bread and viennoiserie production.
- Able to travel to Notting Hill in the early hours of the morning.
- Experienced working in an artisan bakery.
- Genuinely interested in food.
