About the Job:

As an Outreach Tutor with Prospero Teaching, you will have the opportunity to work with young people who are currently without a school placement.

The Role:

You will be responsible for creating, planning, and delivering 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

These pupils may have been out of education for some time, so it is essential to build their confidence levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver 1:1 lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of each pupil
  • Monitor pupil progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
  • Work closely with Prospero Teaching to support effective learning

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent
  • Experience: Possess UK classroom teaching experience
  • Skills: Be creative, patient, and willing to think outside the box
  • Prior Experience: Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Contract Details:

  • Type of Work: Contract
  • Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
  • Rate of Pay: £25+ per hour

You will receive a competitive hourly rate, commensurate with your experience. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor the progression of each pupil and support effective learning.
