Job Title: Contract and Supplier Management Specialist

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is seeking a skilled Contract and Supplier Management Specialist to join their team. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, commencing in February 2025, with a salary of £39,347 - £46,974 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective supplier and contract management frameworks to ensure strong performance and delivery of commitments.
  • Manage direct suppliers, identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering commercial benefits.
  • Plan and prioritise supplier performance reviews and contract governance, liaising with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, reporting progress and risk to the department.
  • Provide resolution of disputes and claims, escalating to senior management as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in contract and supplier management, with a proven track record of delivering value and reducing risk.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • CIPS qualification or recognised commercial qualification.
  • Relevant procurement or business management degree.
