Job Summary

This General Manager role will oversee the 3 department managers and 20 staff members, ensuring smooth operations, resolving customer service issues, and maintaining Health and Safety standards.

About Us

We produce high-quality packaging products, including corrugated packaging, foam packaging, and wooden cases. Our expertise spans multiple markets, including Automotive, Defence, and Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Manage up to 20 team members across Office, Design, and Production departments.
  • Maintain optimal raw material stock levels to meet production demands.
  • Develop a comprehensive maintenance plan for machines and transport systems.
  • Oversee site and building maintenance to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead people-management initiatives, including recruitment, motivation, training, and development.
  • Ensure business compliance with ISO Quality Assurance Accreditation Programme standards.
  • Monitor and control expenditures within agreed budgets.
  • Provide strategic direction and facilities management to the unit.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in General or Operational Management, preferably in the packaging industry.
  • Customer-facing experience is highly desirable.
  • Must be a hands-on Manager with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO14001 is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead by example.
Location

Hampshire, with commutable locations in Basingstoke, Aldershot, Worthing, Portsmouth, Guildford, and Southampton.

Estimated Salary

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
