Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team at Ryder System, Inc. As a Mobile Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing problems and performing major and technically difficult repairs and preventive maintenance services on different types of vehicles using your mobile service truck and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Issues: Use your technical expertise to diagnose problems and perform repairs on various types of vehicles, including heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent service, including explaining repair estimates and coordinating work schedules.
  • Travel: Travel extensively to customer locations, often exceeding 60% of the time, to perform repairs and maintenance services.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Four or more years of experience in advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment required.
  • Certifications: SBTIII trained, Tire & Wheel safety trained, PM qualified, Brake Air qualified, and A/C recycling & recovery certified.
  • Licenses: Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A and Non Commercial Driver License CLASS E required.
