About the Role

Job Summary

As a Senior Care Assistant at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Care Assistants, ensuring that they provide exceptional care and support to our residents.

Main Duties

  • Supervise and motivate a team of Care Assistants to deliver high-quality care and support
  • Support the clinical team in areas such as medication, assessments, care plans, or care reviews
  • Assist with the development of care plans and ensure that they are implemented effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and support
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to Care Assistants to improve their performance

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual who has the ability to lead a team and deliver exceptional care and support to our residents. You will have a strong understanding of clinical care for the elderly and be able to demonstrate a patient and caring approach to your work. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a team and deliver exceptional care and support
