Job Title: Automation Engineer - PLC Specialist

ATA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer - PLC Specialist to join our client's team in South East London. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the factory's automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting on PLCs, reading through programming language and making adjustments to code as needed
  • Making adjustments to robotics according to production needs
  • Programming using Ladder Logic, STL, and SCL
  • Working on Allen Bradley (RsLogix) and Siemens PLCs (1500 TIA Portal)
  • Providing support for cyber security on site
  • Continuous Improvements, coming up with ideas for change looking at improving production output
  • Fault finding on Communication network systems like Profibus

Requirements:

  • A recognised Engineering Qualification (Electrical Needed)
  • Experience working with PLCs, with a proven track record of being able to read code
  • Be able to work well alone or with a shift partner
  • Have an eye for continuous improvement
  • Work well in a diverse team
  • Be a strong communicator with key stakeholders within the business and OEMs
  • Be able to think quickly on your feet under pressure in a high volume environment
