Job Title: Research Associate in Mathematical Physics

About the Role:
This post is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and talented researcher to join our team at the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will work on independent and collaborative research projects related to generalized symmetries in theoretical physics subfields, including quantum field theory, quantum gravity, and condensed matter physics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct innovative research under the guidance of senior academics and contribute to established research programs.
• Hold a PhD in theoretical or mathematical physics or a related discipline and have sufficient specialist knowledge to work effectively within the group.
• Manage your own academic research activities and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects.

Requirements:
• PhD in theoretical or mathematical physics or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and analytical techniques in theoretical physics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and presentation of research findings.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
