Job Overview

We are seeking a Principal Power Systems Specialist to join our team at ersg Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, specifically in the design of high-voltage and extra-high voltage substation equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive design drawings for Grid and Primary substations.
  • Prepare technical specifications for Electrical plant and provide associated electrical designs for substation upgrades and new substation projects.
  • Undertake Transmission and Distribution level designs in line with DNO and National Grid standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience of HV and EHV Plant specification, 11kV up to and including 132kV, design, load calculations, and rating studies.
  • Preparing specifications for HV and EHV substation equipment, including the evaluation and identification of plant accessories such as CTs, battery systems, and terminations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possession of relevant qualifications and certifications in electrical engineering.
