Teaching and Learning Support Professional

We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Long Term Academic Assistant to join our primary school in the Selly Oak area. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of children in a year six class.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons. You will also work closely with the class teacher to identify areas where pupils need additional support and develop targeted interventions to help them achieve their full potential.
We estimate that the salary for this position will be around £90-£105 per day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons.
- Supporting pupils with their transition to secondary school, including promoting readiness and independence.
- Supporting pupils with their preparation for SATs, including administering practice tests and delivering targeted interventions in maths, reading, and writing.
- Monitoring and recording pupil's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as required.
- Providing emotional and social support to pupils, fostering confidence and self-esteem.
