Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our Curriculum Services team. The successful candidate will work across three campuses, supporting students with complex needs in a range of learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with highly complex needs, including personal care, feeding, and medication
- Participate in activities such as swimming and outdoor trips
- Work with students to develop their independence, confidence, and readiness for work
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Level 3 Learning Support Practitioner Qualification or equivalent
- Level 3 qualification in a Learning Disability specific area (e.g., BSL, SpLD, ASD)
- Level C/5 or above GCSE English and maths
- Knowledge and experience of working with students with complex needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
