As a key member of the engineering team at DFS Furniture Ltd, this role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising productivity through proactive maintenance, reducing downtime, and improving machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular maintenance on manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
• Provide training and support to colleagues to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
• Work closely with the engineering manager to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with experience of working in a manufacturing environment. They will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on preventing downtime and improving efficiency. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
