[Job Description:

We are working closely with a local authority in partnership to assist with the appointment of a Counselling Tutor on a 5-month contract. This assignment will likely be extended at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop course outlines and conduct initial and diagnostic assessments for potential students.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager to plan courses in consultation with the relevant team members, including the submission of scheme(s) of work and lesson plans.
  • Establish a purposeful learning environment that values diversity and ensures students feel safe and confident.
  • Set challenging teaching and learning objectives relevant to the course and students' needs.
  • Manage the learning process effectively, guiding and supporting students, and differentiating teaching to meet their needs and interests.
  • Agree individual learning plans with students, monitor and review them regularly, and provide meaningful feedback.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A first degree or equivalent.
  • A qualification at least one level higher than the course to be taught.
  • A fully recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one within the first year of teaching.
