**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Structures Manager to join our Transportation team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the design and management of highway structures, including assessment and inspection.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Highway Structures Team of engineers and technicians responsible for the maintenance of all highway structures on the Birmingham network. This includes managing inventory and condition data for highway structures using the 'Confirm' asset management system.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the inspection of structures including principal, general and special inspectionsLeading on structural reviews and structural assessmentsAdvising client organisations on future work programmes and prioritiesCollaborating with designers, commercial teams, contractors and delivery teams as necessary

Requirements:

We are looking for a Chartered civil or structural engineer, or approaching chartered status, with a degree or qualification in a civil engineering specialism. The ideal candidate will also have experience of managing a technical team and good knowledge of relevant CS codes of practice.
