About This Role
We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join Hutcheon Mearns Ltd as the Group Finance Director's second-in-command. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the finance team, overseeing the budgeting process, and ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process, including forecasting, analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Hands-on Approach: Exhibit a proactive attitude, actively involved in daily financial operations.
  • High Excel Proficiency: Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, management reports, and leverage Business Intelligence tools for insightful analysis.
  • Financial Controls and Processes: Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place to maintain the integrity of financial information.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Sage 200 Management: Manage financial systems and processes using Sage 200.

Benefits
A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, flexible working arrangements, on-site parking, a pension scheme, a 40-hour working week with flexible start/finish times, and development and career progression opportunities.
