About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services professional to join our team as a Financial Services Supervisor. As a key member of our Shared Financial Services team, you will be responsible for supervising and managing the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable Team.

Your core role will be to monitor payments for invoices, credit control of overdue accounts, and ensure accurate accounting for income received within our financial system.

You will be responsible for ensuring the team adheres to mandatory training, maintains knowledge of industry trends and changes in laws or regulations, and provides advice on financial and corporate issues to non-finance managers.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in an Accounts Receivable role, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of financial services and relevant payment collection procedures/principles.

They will also have experience in NHS financial services, with a strong understanding of current NHS structures and key policies, particularly IFRS and Foundation Trusts.

The ideal candidate will be an expert user of financial systems and databases, with excellent report writing skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.

They will also be able to deliver finance training to non-finance managers and have a commitment to Continuing Professional Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable Team
  • Monitor payments for invoices and credit control of overdue accounts

Requirements
  • Proven work experience in an Accounts Receivable role
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial services and relevant payment collection procedures/principles
  • Experience in NHS financial services
  • Strong understanding of current NHS structures and key policies, particularly IFRS and Foundation Trusts
  • Expert user of financial systems and databases
