Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Data Insights Officer to join our M&S Data Science team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate data scientist to deliver machine learning models and drive business value through AI.

About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist, now titled Chief Data Insights Officer, will be responsible for driving data science initiatives that support the development of customer-facing products. You will own delivery of data science work with minimal support from more senior colleagues, contributing to the technical and personal development of junior team members.

You will progress work consistently, employing best practice in data science. Key responsibilities include helping develop data science models, contributing to technical implementation and productionization of end-to-end machine learning systems, and active engagement in project delivery according to agile principles.

You will also create and submit regular Pull Requests for colleagues to review, actively participate in and contribute to the data science community at M&S by presenting work at internal and external meetings, and support and contribute to the evaluation, scoping, and ideation of new data science projects.

Your Background
  • Advanced programming skills in Python.
  • Strong experience and skills in data science, statistics, and machine learning methods.
  • PRACTICAL UNDERSTANDING AND EXPERIENCE OF VERSION CONTROL PRINCIPLES.
  • Intermediate understanding of the data science and machine learning product life-cycle including model deployment and monitoring.
