Youth Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join the new NHS Children and Young People's Gender Service (London) team in the role of Youth Support Specialist. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families through our service.
This challenging and rewarding role will involve managing a caseload of young people with complex needs, ensuring an effective care pathway is taken for individual children and young people, and their families. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges in the workplace and have a proven track record of advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate will have a qualified youth work background, with experience in operational management, managing organisational change, and working with children and families. They will also possess a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection agendas, clinical governance, and risk management.
As a member of our team, the successful candidate will be expected to be a highly professional role model, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will be able to work effectively across organisational and professional boundaries, prioritise objectives and tasks, and manage time effectively.
