About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Band 7 physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Farnham Hospital, supporting the rehabilitation service on Bentley and Runfold wards.

As a key member of the team, you will provide rehabilitation for a wide range of orthopaedic, medical, and complex conditions, working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists to ensure safe and timely discharges for patients.

The post involves taking a leading role in planning, coordinating delivery, and evaluating the physiotherapy service on the wards, while also supporting the development of Band 5 & 6 and therapy assistants, as well as supervising students on placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation to support patient management, including therapeutic manual handling.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust policies.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and staff, including imparting unwelcome news.
  • Assess patients' understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.

Requirements
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • UK Driving Licence.
