Pioneering Technology Role

A leading company in the agricultural sector is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Shropshire, contributing to the development of innovative technologies that transform the industry.

This permanent position offers a competitive salary up to £75,000 per annum (DOE) and involves working day shifts Monday to Friday (37 hours per week). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, utilizing expertise in ROS, ROS2, and Linux.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who can be based predominantly in the office most of the working week, with remote working opportunities available and discussed during the interview process.

A relocation package can be offered for the right candidate, but we are looking for someone who is already based in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available.

We require someone with experience in ADAS and nVIDIA, as well as proficiency in ROS2, Linux for Tegra, and nVIDIA AGX Orin/XAVIER platforms. The successful candidate will define and align software architecture for various layers of ADAS.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software architecture for various layers of ADAS, including Vision, Perception, and Actuation.
  • Take ownership of the Guidance Control Unit and ensure its seamless operation and integration.
  • Oversee the maintenance of base system software (OS, Middleware, etc.)
  • Verify and validate module-level software releases from partners and suppliers.
  • Manage Guidance Software release processes.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in ROS2, Linux for Tegra, and experience with nVIDIA AGX Orin/XAVIER platforms.
  • A solid understanding of autonomy software stack and foundational components.
  • Familiarity with software application lifecycle processes and development methodologies.
  • Desirable skills include knowledge of vision and camera-related sensors, ML/DL approaches for autonomous driving.
