Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and operation of our manufacturing plant's electrical systems and equipment. This will involve working as part of a team to maintain all electrical systems, identify faults, and carry out repairs during breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining existing equipment through reactive and planned maintenance
  • Fault finding and carrying out repairs during breakdowns
  • Assisting with modifications of current machinery
  • Assisting with new installations of machinery
  • Installation of power distribution and lighting
  • Electrical building of machines including all wiring, control panels, PLC setup, and programming
  • Commissioning of production machines both internal and external, including occasionally overseas
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • HND/Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of 415V 3-phase power
  • Knowledge of AC and Servo motors
  • IPAF licence (advantageous)
  • Electrical installation experience
  • Automation (PLC, VSDs, HMIs) experience (significant advantage)
  • 18th edition qualification (advantageous but not essential)
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage own time during the working day
  • Ability to keep cool under pressure
