Culinary Specialist

Our client in Melksham is seeking a skilled Canteen Cook to join their team for a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a great work-life balance, with no evening, weekend, or bank holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily kitchen operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Assist the Canteen Supervisor in daily tasks and deputise during their absence
• Maintain high kitchen hygiene standards, including food preparation, ordering, and cleanliness
• Serve food and manage the service counter, as well as stock and clean vending machines
• Perform general cleaning of canteen tables and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry
• Strong working knowledge of the Safer Food, Better Business Manual
• Ability to manage daily kitchen operations, handle cash, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
Benefits:
• 30 hours per week, with a paid 20-minute break
• Uniform provided
• Monday to Friday shifts, with no evenings, weekends, or bank holidays
