**Job Title:** Educational Psychologist Expert

At North East Ambition, we are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to contribute to the Statutory Needs Assessment of children and young people with special educational needs. The successful candidate will provide effective and outcomes-based psychological advice, working closely with schools at an early intervention level.

The team comprises 11 EPs (8.5 FTE) plus 2 TEPs, an Early Years Inclusion Coordinator, 1 Assistant Psychologist (Autism), and a Small Steps team. This collaborative approach promotes understanding and co-constructed outcomes between professionals, families, and the SEND team.

With established SLAs in place for regular input, this role offers creative and varied work opportunities. Our hybrid working pattern prioritizes positive relationships and wellbeing, while safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is paramount.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Statutory Needs Assessment of children and young people with special educational needs
  • Provide effective and outcomes-based psychological advice to schools
  • Work collaboratively with the SEND team, professionals, and families to promote understanding and co-constructed outcomes

**Requirements:

  • Masters-level qualification in Educational Psychology or a related field
  • Experience in working with children and young people with special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
