Key Role in Open Source Build Projects

IC Resources is seeking an experienced Open Source Build Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD tooling, creating automation frameworks for Open Source build tools, and supporting teams in creating or migrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Open Source projects
  • Develop automation frameworks for Open Source build tools such as gcc and OpenOCD
  • Collaborate with teams to create and manage workflows for CI/CD pipelines
  • Provide support for teams in creating or migrating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Develop docker images and shared libraries to facilitate CI/CD pipeline creation
Requirements:
  • Experience in building Open Source tooling, infrastructure, and DevOps
  • Excellent knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions and Jenkins Pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of Typescript and Python
  • Familiarity with Open Source tools and contributions to the open-source community (Zephyr and/or embedded Linux preferred)
  • Experience in working in an embedded software environment or providing tools for embedded software engineering
What We Offer:

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Edinburgh office. You will have the opportunity to work on greenfield open source build projects, creating new build, infrastructure, and DevOps tools from the ground up.
