Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled professional to be part of our Marketing Team as a Sponsorships & Merchandising Manager. The role involves collaborating with brand and marketing team members to craft a Financial Services sponsorship and partnership strategy. This position requires coordinating across the company to ensure all sponsorships and partnerships align with our strategy and provide excellent value for money. They must also be implemented and activated according to brand and commercial best practices. Furthermore, the role includes managing and assessing our 'national initiatives' hospitality properties and merchandise program to maximize their value to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing an FS sponsorship and partnership strategy in collaboration with the brand team.
  • Working with partners in the business to identify new sponsorship and partnership opportunities, evaluating those opportunities according to the agreed framework and budget.
  • Ensuring sponsorships and partnerships are activated to deliver maximum value to the brand and the business, partnering and supporting colleagues to deliver that activation.
  • Managing ticketing for our owned hospitality initiatives (currently Lords, Twickenham, Wembley etc), building an improved framework for driving and measuring results from this activity.
  • Developing an improved approach to measuring the impact of our sponsorship and partnership activity and reporting on this activity with recommendations for improvements.
  • Reviewing our catalogue of branded merchandise and identifying the most effective and best value for money items to use.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Experience working with and managing sponsorship properties.
  • Marketing and brand strategy.
  • Sponsorship and partnership activation skills.
  • Budget management and a track record of improving effectiveness of marketing spend.
  • Substantial marketing or sponsorships experience.

  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Senior stakeholder management skills – Experience working with senior stakeholders.

Professional Qualifications and Education
Relevant marketing or industry professional qualifications are desirable but not essential. A university qualification is also desirable but not essential.
