Job Summary

QinetiQ is seeking an experienced Explosives Supervisor to manage Ordinance, Munitions and Explosive Estates Licences and supervise related tasks, including the safe storage, handling, processing and transportation of Explosives Substances and Articles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety checks/inspections on explosives facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise explosives safety within own area of responsibility, providing leadership and guidance to team members.
  • Manage equipment in an explosives environment, ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliver results.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of OME Technical principles and regulations.
  • Experience in Licenced Explosives Facility Management and safe systems to work.
  • Demonstrable experience across a variety of explosives related projects.
  • Familiarity with Explosives Storage and Transport Committee (ESTC) leaflet 6.
  • A current ADR Licence would be an advantage.
