CNC Turner Specialist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Specialist to join our team. As a CNC Turner Specialist, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 2-axis turning machines. You will also be required to write new CNC programs, edit pre-written programs, and perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating 2-axis turning machines
  • Writing new CNC programs and editing pre-written programs
  • Performing in-process inspection using measuring equipment
  • Producing one-off and low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals

Requirements:

  • Proven time-served experience in programming, setting, and operating 2-axis turning machines
  • Ability to write new CNC programs long-hand at the machine
  • Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of 2-axis CNC machines, cutting speeds, and feeds
  • Excellent working knowledge of geometric tolerances
  • Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards
