Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Weekend Cook to join our team at Haworth House Approved Premises in Blackburn. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare meals for residents, adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Manage and control all food, including receiving and checking stock, and monitoring portion control.
  • Collect and record routine data as required, and perform daily checks on temperature control.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, or damage to the Catering Supervisor.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking.
  • Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards.
  • Ability to follow recipes and cook a variety of cuisines.
