Job Description

To deliver the engineering required for installation of the HPC MEH piping scope on site through leadership of a team of engineers from delivery to site of piping/equipment through to handover to commissioning. To provide integration of the site scope within the wider E2E Piping Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Contract Engineering Lead activities for HK8010 contract related to the 5 disciplines:
  • Implementing the Triple 1 model across all disciplines through monitoring, standard field solutions, delegation principles, and stakeholder coordination;
  • Supporting construction Project Managers in establishing Key Performance Indicators for reporting site progress on construction activities;
  • Providing proactive technical support and expertise to close open points and technical queries raised by the construction contractor;
  • Coordinating interfaces with Front Office teams for Field Change Requests and Non-Conformances from site;
  • Ensuring integration of post-construction activities into the construction sequence;
  • Managing transverse activities such as 3D scanning, documentation control, and specific activities like PIA and NDT contracts;
  • Being a recognized point of contact for MEH engineering matters for the MEH-JV, Delivery leads, and JDO.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in an equivalent or related role in the construction industry;
  • Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards;
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time, and cost in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment;
  • Strong people leadership skills to coordinate efficient delivery of their scope through empowerment of their team members and drawing on necessary support from others in the organization;
  • Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders;
  • Ability to work autonomously but with awareness of own limitations;
  • Knowledge of contractual and commercial mechanisms.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related engineering field;
  • MCIOB - Chartered Engineer with relevant engineering institute;
  • Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR operations;
  • Working knowledge of French language an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
