The CK Group is seeking an experienced Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the operation of their UKAS accredited water testing microbiology laboratory.
As a Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team in a commercial ISO 17025 microbiology environment. You will have extensive knowledge of analytical techniques for microbiological analysis and a comprehensive understanding of water matrices.
We are looking for a degree-qualified candidate with experience in managing and supervising in a contract testing company based in Consett. You will have a competitive salary and benefits package as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop, review and update standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible for ensuring samples are processed and tested for appropriate microbiological parameters.
You will report quality control issues, method deviations and equipment breakdowns to the Quality Department. We offer a range of benefits including a competitive salary, pension scheme, and annual leave entitlement.
