Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspirational leader to join our team at Blackdown Education Partnership as the Director of Secondary Education. This role requires someone with deep expertise in raising standards, a strong record in building sustainable improvement cultures, and a passion for delivering impactful school improvement.

About the Role
  • Possess substantial experience in school leadership and improvement, ideally having had significant impact in one or more secondary schools and/or with Ofsted.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build strong cultures of continuous and sustainable improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Raise student outcomes through effective evaluation and leverage of extensive knowledge.
  2. Inspire and lead complex changes across schools, fostering collaboration and high expectations.
  3. Build trust with Headteachers and school leaders and deliver challenge clearly, ethically, and with regard to the wellbeing of colleagues.
Requirements
  • A proven track record of improving student outcomes in secondary education.
  • Substantial experience in school improvement, either as a Headteacher, System Leader, School Improvement Partner, and/or through roles with Ofsted.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
