About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant/Porter to join our team at Lexington Catering. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a high-quality dining experience.
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Support the Chef and kitchen team in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
